SPICY BUFFALO TOFU
Ingredients:
1 block of extra firm organic tofu (pressed and drained)
½ – ¾ cup Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce (Buffalo)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 ½ tablespoons of oat flour
1 ½ tablespoons of Bob’s Red Mill Organic Cornmeal
½ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Directions:
Press tofu overnight or in tofu press for approximately 3 hours, until all liquid has been removed.
Preheat oven to 425
Combine Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce (Buffalo), oregano, thyme, onion powder, black pepper, sea salt, sesame oil, oat flour and cornmeal into a mixing bowl and stir until all ingredients are well blended.
Cut tofu into half inch cubes, then place into the bowl and gently stir until the tofu is well coated.
Spread the tofu onto a lightly greased pan in a single layer and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown, turning half way through.
Note: You can also fry it in a non-stick pan, cooking on both sides until golden brown, adding oil as needed.
